  TEMPORARY DANGER AREA: BVLOS UAS D596 COMPLEX, NORTH SEA

Between 27 September and 24 October 2021, an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) will operate three routes between:
  1. Kirkwall to Wick;

  2. Kirkwall to Eday-North Ronaldsay;

  3. Kirkwall to Fair Isle.

The purpose of this operation is to demonstrate a scheduled delivery capability.
The UAV is a Fixed Wing twin engine aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of 400 KG and a wingspan of 10 M. The UAV is equipped with ADS-B Out, Mode S Transponder and navigation and position lighting.
As the aircraft will be operating Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) and has no Detect and Avoid capability, a Temporary Danger Area (TDA)s will be established to facilitate safe operations.
The TDA complex is Sponsored by Windracers and will be operated in accordance with Airspace Change Reference ACP 2021-025.
The TDA complex consists of three areas. A chart of the complex is included within this AIC.
Actual dates and times of activation will be promulgated by NOTAM with a minimum notification period of 24 HRS. If for any reason the activation should no longer be required, the TDA complex will be disestablished as soon as possible.
Requests for access to TDAs by airborne emergency service shall be made through Danger Area Crossing Service (DACS) or pre-flight information service. Access to the TDAs by emergency services will always be given priority over UAV operations which will be immediately suspended.
THE DANGER AREAS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY NOTAM
EG D596A. When required between 27 September to 24 October 2021, a TDA is established within the area bounded by strait lines joining successively the points:
