  Restriction of flying regulations: the conservative party conference 2021, manchester 2-6 october 2021

The 2021 Conservative Party Conference will be held in Manchester between 2 and 6 October 2021. The Secretary of State for Transport has decided that it is necessary to introduce Restriction of Flying Regulations under Article 239 of the Air Navigation Order 2016.
Subject to paragraph 3 below, between 0400 hours on 2 October and 1500 hours on 6 October 2021 no aircraft is to fly below 3,500 FT AMSL within the area bounded by a circle having a radius of 2 NM whose centre is at 532837N 0021446W.
Paragraph 2 does not apply to any aircraft:
  1. flying in the service of National Police Air Service;

  2. flying in the service of the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service;

  3. making an approach to, or departing Manchester International Airport whilst under the control of the air traffic control units at Manchester International Airport or Prestwick Centre; or

  4. flying in accordance with a permission issued by Chief Inspector Matthew Worrell of the Greater Manchester Police Service who may be contacted on telephone number 07584-224912.

The times mentioned in regulation 2 are Co-ordinated Universal Time (UTC), which is one hour behind British Summer Time.
This restriction also applies to all unmanned aircraft.
