  TEMPORARY DANGER AREA BVLOS UAS (LLANBEDR AERODROME)
15 June 2021 – 13 September 2021

Between 15 June 2021 and 13 September 2021, an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) will operate out, and in the vicinity, of Llanbedr Aerodrome, to carry out test flights for the purposes of developing new aircraft technology and operational procedures. The UAV type is a semi-rigid airship with an overall length of 16 M.
As the aircraft will be operating Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) and has no Detect and Avoid capability, a Temporary Danger Area (TDA) complex will be established to facilitate the safe operations.
The TDA complex is sponsored by Avealto in accordance with Airspace Change Reference ACP-2020-098.
The TDA complex consists of two areas. A chart of the complex is included within this AIC.
The Danger Area may be activated for up to a maximum period of 12 HRS at any time of day or night, and only for the minimum required duration to minimise the impact on other airspace users.
Actual dates and times of activation will be promulgated by NOTAM with a minimum notification period of 24 HRS. If for any reason the activation should no longer be required, the TDA complex will be disestablished as soon as possible.
Requests for access to the TDAs by airborne emergency services shall be made direct to the Danger Area Activity Information Service (DAAIS) via VHF or phone as per the details below. Access to the TDAs by emergency services will always be given priority over UAV operations which will be immediately suspended.

THE DANGER AREA WILL BE NOTIFIED BY NOTAM

EG D298A. When required between 15 June 2021 and 13 September 2021, a TDA is established within a 2 NM radius centred on 524816N 0040737W.
TDA EG D298A is established from surface to 2000 FT AMSL.
10  Within EG D298A, a DAAIS will be available from the Llanbedr Aerodrome Flight Information Service Officer (FISO), Llanbedr Information VHF frequency 118.930 MHz and/or by phone on 01341-241356.
11  EG D298B. When required between 15 June 2021 and 13 September 2021, a TDA is established within the area bounded by straight lines joining successively the following points:
  1. 524618N 0040702W;

  2. 524321N 0040609W;

  3. thence clockwise by the arc of a circle radius 5 NM centred on 524816N 004W0737W from 524321N 0040609W to 525311N 0040903W;

  4. thence a straight line to 525014N 0040814W;

  5. thence counter-clockwise by the arc of a circle radius 2 NM centred on 524816N 0040737W from 525014N 0040814W to 524618N 0040702W.

12  TDA EG D298B is established from surface to 2000 FT AMSL.
13  Within EG D298B, a DAAIS will be available from the Llanbedr Aerodrome FISO, Llanbedr Information VHF frequency 118.930 and/or by phone on 01341-241356.
14  Further information regarding a DAAIS can be found within UK AIP, ENR1.1 – General Rules.
15  During the establishment of the TDAs, the Controlling Authority is Avealto. Contact details for the TDA Operating Authority (Avealto): anthonyvenetz@avealto.com 07927-310258.
16  Whilst operating adjacent to the TDA, it is requested aircraft monitor the Llanbedr Information frequency.
17  As part of the ACP process requirements, Avealto is collecting feedback regarding these TDAs and their impact over their duration which will be shared with the CAA. All feedback regarding this may be sent via email to anthonyvenetz@avealto.com.
