TEMPORARY DANGER AREA COMPLEX (SHETLAND ISLANDS) BVLOS RPAS ATMOSPHERIC SURVEYING 15 AUGUST 2020 TO 13 SEPTEMBER 2020

From the 15 August 2020 through to the 13 September 2020, a Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) will conduct atmospheric surveying around three Oil Rigs situated up to 80 miles west of the Shetland Island in the Atlantic Ocean. The RPAS will operate out of Scatsta Airfield and operate between surface and 800 FT AMSL. As the RPAS will be operating Beyond Visual Line of Sight and has no Detect and Avoid capability, a Temporary Danger Area (TDA) complex will be established to facilitate the safe operation of the RPAS.
The TDA complex is sponsored by Flylogix Ltd in accordance with Airspace Change reference ACP-2020-29.
The TDA complex will be made out of 3 Danger Areas to facilitate the transiting to and from and the orbiting of the Oil Rig platforms. A chart of the complex is included within this Aeronautical Information Circular.
Only the Danger Areas required for each flight will be activated to minimise impact to other air users.
The required TDAs will be notified for activation no less than 24 hours prior to the planned flights.

REQUIRED DANGER AREAS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY NOTAM

EG D6098A. When required between the 15 August 2020 and 13 September 2020, a Temporary Danger Area is established within the area bounded by straight lines joining successively the following points:
