  RESTRICTION OF FLYING REGULATIONS - MUSIC FESTIVAL SITES
MAY - AUGUST 2019

Restricted Areas (Temporary) are established at selected locations in the United Kingdom where Music Festivals are taking place to protect the large numbers of persons attending the events. The Secretary of State for Transport has decided that it is necessary, on the grounds of safety and security, to introduce Restriction of Flying Regulations under Article 239 of the Air Navigation Order 2016 to restrict the operation of unmanned aircraft at certain festival sites between 24 May 2019 and 26 August 2019 (Restrictions of Flying Regulations at other festival sites may be notified in other Aeronautical Information Circulars and/or by NOTAM).

THESE RESTRICTIONS OF FLYING DO NOT APPLY TO MANNED AIRCRAFT.


BBC BIG WEEKEND, MIDDLESBROUGH - 24 - 26 MAY 2019

Subject to paragraph 3, between 0800 hours and 2300 hours on 24, 25 and 26 May 2019, no unmanned aircraft is to fly below 2,500 FT AMSL within the area bounded by a circle having a radius of 0.75 NM whose centre is at 543231N 0011208W (Stewart Park, Ladgate Lane, Middlesbrough).
Paragraph 2 does not apply to any unmanned aircraft operating with the permission of the Festival Republic Silver Commander who may be contacted on telephone number 07961-027663 or to a balloon or kite.

DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL, DONINGTON PARK - 12 - 17 JUNE 2019
Subject to paragraph 5, between 0800 hours on 12 June and 1400 hours on 17 June 2019, no unmanned aircraft is to fly below 2,500 FT AMSL within the area bounded by a circle having a radius of 1 NM whose centre is at 524949N 0012231W (Donington Park, Derby).
Paragraph 4 does not apply to any unmanned aircraft system operating with the permission of the Festival Republic Silver Commander who may be contacted on telephone number 07595-676116.

ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL, NEWPORT, ISLE OF WIGHT - 13 - 17 JUNE 2019

Subject to paragraph 7, between 0500 hours on 13 June and 1400 hours on 17 June 2019, no unmanned aircraft is to fly below 2,500 FT AMSL within the area bounded by a circle having a radius of 1 NM whose centre is at 504242N 0011715W (Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight).
Paragraph 6 does not apply to any unmanned aircraft system operating with the permission of the Festival Republic Silver Commander who may be contacted on telephone number 07900-928796.

ON BLACKHEATH, BLACKHEATH COMMON, LONDON - 13 - 14 JULY 2019

Subject to paragraph 9, between 0800 hours and 2200 hours on 13 and 14 July 2019, no unmanned aircraft is to fly below 2,500 FT AMSL within the area having a radius of 0.75 NM whose centre is at 512815N 0000008W (Blackheath Common, London).
Paragraph 8 does not apply to any unmanned aircraft system operating with the permission of the Festival Republic Silver Commander who may be contacted on telephone number 07545-701420.

LATITUDE, BECCLES, SUFFOLK - 18 - 22 JULY 2019

10 Subject to paragraph 11, between 0800 hours on 18 July and 1400 hours on 22 July 2019, no unmanned aircraft is to fly below 2,500 FT AMSL within the area bounded by a circle having a radius of 0.75 NM whose centre is at 522013N 0013549E (Henham Park, Beccles, Suffolk).

CAMP BESTIVAL, WAREHAM, DORSET - 25 - 29 JULY 2019

12 Subject to paragraph 13, between 0800 hours on 25 July and 1400 hours on 29 July 2019, no unmanned aircraft is to fly below 2,500 FT AMSL within the area bounded by a circle having a radius of 0.75 NM whose centre is at 503823N 0021225W (Lulworth Castle, East Lulworth, Wareham, Dorset).

READING FESTIVAL, READING - 21 - 26 AUGUST 2019

14 Subject to paragraph 15 between 0800 hours on 21 August and 1400 hours on 26 August 2019, no unmanned aircraft is to fly below 2,500 FT AMSL within the area bounded by a circle having a radius of 1.25 NM whose centre is at 512758N 0005953W (Richfield Avenue, Reading).
15 Paragraph 14 does not apply to any unmanned aircraft system operating with the permission of the Festival Republic Silver Commander who may be contacted on telephone number 07545-701420.

LEEDS FESTIVAL, WETHERBY - 21 - 26 AUGUST 2019

16 Subject to paragraph 17, between 0800 hours on 21 August and 1400 hours on 26 August 2019, no unmanned aircraft is to fly below 2,500 FT AMSL within the area bounded by a circle having a radius of 1.25 NM whose centre is at 535202N 0012255W (Bramham, Wetherby, West Yorkshire).

CREAMFIELDS FESTIVAL, NR DARESBURY, CHESHIRE - 22 - 26 AUGUST 2019

18 Subject to paragraph 19, between 0800 hours on 22 August and 1400 hours on 26 August 2019, no unmanned aircraft system is to fly below 2,500 FT AMSL within the area bounded by a circle having a radius of 1 NM whose centre is at 532027N 0023710W (Daresbury, Warrington).
19 Paragraph 18 does not apply to any unmanned aircraft system operating with the permission of the Festival Republic Silver Commander who may be contacted on telephone number 07595-676116.

20 In relation to paragraphs 2 to 19, the term ‘unmanned aircraft’ includes aircraft as classified by Part 1 of Schedule 4 to the Air Navigation Order 2016 and includes a small unmanned aircraft (as defined in Schedule 1 to the Order) but not a balloon or a kite. These aircraft types are commonly referred to as drones.
21 The times mentioned in this Circular are Co-ordinated Universal Time (UTC), which is one hour behind British Summer Time (BST).
